Technical analyst for the International Protective Network, Rachel Grant arrives in        Sunderland intent on tidying up her grandmother’s cottage, but the disaster she discovers requires more than a gentle sweep of a dust rag. Determined to please the most important person in her life, she trades her computer keyboard for a hammer and nails to make the repairs. She doesn’t count on the chilly reception from the locals who want to claim Nan’s home as their own.

Tour guide Aidan Camden wants to buy the cottage. He’s determined to acquire the property no matter how attractive he finds the current occupant. However, when tragedy strikes, throwing them both into a tailspin, he discovers he wants more than the house. He longs for the sexy American as well. Can Aidan put his own ghosts to rest in time to save the woman who’s claimed his heart?

Angela’s Review:

I absolutely loved this novella!  The tight knit community of Sunderland gives the reader an intimate feel for the town, and its residents.    Though Rachel was an outsider, despite having childhood ties to the area the townspeople seemed to embrace her presence from the beginning.  Well, not everyone!   That is where Ms. Bourne cast the line and I was hooked!!

I was amazed how the author was able to incorporate the chemistry between the couple from their very first encounter.   As a reader, I think the author did an amazing job making me believe that there would be more to this relationship, even though it appeared that Rachel and Aidan may consider it more of a “fling”.

I imagined Rachel Grant’s character, not to perfect in appearance, but as a more genuine beauty that could be seen inside and out!   The commitment to see her grandmother’s last wishes fulfilled brought out the determination and the strength of her character, and made me want to cheer her on from the start.   Who would have thought a computer geek could be so tough!

Aidan was the perfect gentleman and lover!!!  I didn’t picture him as this perfect, gorgeous Englishman, but definitely handsome.  I fell in love with his caring and protective mannerisms.   The sex scenes were sensual and you could feel the intimacy growing from the moment they crossed over that line of acquaintances!   It was beautifully done!

I loved everything about this read!!  From the suspense to the sex!!  The conclusion of this story was wonderful, and I literally had an “Awww” moment when I finished!   If you’re looking for a quick romantic read that keeps you on the edge of you seat, you’ll love Fractured Paradise!!!
