The charming man has been dead for over a hundred and fifty years, and the childish crush Danica once had on her ghostly playmate quickly turns into something much deeper. When a handsome new man enters Danica’s life, Gaston vows to do whatever he can to hold on to her. Danica soon discovers that the most forbidden of all desires cannot be satisfied without paying a grave price.

Love can blur the lines between life and death when you are living among the ghosts of Rue Dumaine.

It was the perfect mix of paranormal and historical fiction. Her setting is New Orleans and is so accurately portrayed that I feel I can walk the streets. Gripping story about Danica who was torn between a man and a ghost, one she could hold and one she could trust. Danica  had come home. Mainly to get away from her abusive ex-husband--she had finally been brave enough to divorce him. Danica, grew up on Rue Dumaine and met the hot ghost Gaston as a child - he was her protector. When she returns all grown up - to the same house - Gaston is still there and she realizes she is in love with him. Do yourself a favor and get this ! Wonderful story that will have you with pages one.
