Review

Love it when I can read a book in on sitting and close it being completely satisfied! Selene created some wonderful, lovable characters with a titillating story that leaves you wanting more in great ways. Any contemporary romance reader will enjoy the story within The Swing of Her Hips.
Two people that meet by chance or rather more by common interests both have sworn off love for the rest of their existence due to bad relationship experiences in their pasts. But what can you do when fate has another agenda in mind and you find yourself being pulled towards a person? Try and ignore it, for now. Duncan and Kallie can only ignore their feelings for so long. After a phone number exchange and a promise to keep in touch, they both find themselves thinking of the other even after only a short meeting. The day they finally meet up, it’s out of their control. The attraction is too strong and it’s decided to be a summer fling. But they both learn a lot while in each other’s company, Kallie learns not all men are the same, there is such a thing as a great guy out there and Duncan learns that not all women are horrible and incompatible. He also learns that he could not resist the swing of her hips from the very start :)

An aggressive executive, dedicated to running his successful company in a competitive industry, Adrian doesn't have time for anything—or anyone—else. Until he comes upon a beautiful woman in need of rescuing. Maybe he does have time for more than business.

Can Adrian make time for love?

Can Janice trust enough to love?

Review

A quick, sensual and exciting story that read like an amazing fantasy come true. A definite book to add to your TBR for all contemporary romance readers that want a quick and exciting fix!
Janice is a single mother of two, widower for four years, and a very independent, beautiful, strong and lonely woman.  She is on her way home from dropping her boys off at the airport so they could visit with their grandparents when suddenly her tire blows and she ends up in a ditch with bumps, bruises and a wrecked car. After contemplating for a bit of what her next more should be, she hears a car stop close by, then sees a large male figure looming towards her. Can you say one HOT night and shining armor? Yes, a gentleman (of sorts) named Adrian helps her out of the vehicle and offers to help her get home. Janice is not used to any help what so ever, and is weary of any strangers, but in her current condition decides to accept it. He seems nice enough. Once he gets her safely into her home sparks fly, heat rises and changes of heart are made.

I WANT MORE! The ending left my mind wandering what would happen next between the two. Would it really work? What about the boys, Janice’s children, will they accept him? I’m really curious where it all would go from the ending and REALLY loved both main characters and the way they both warmed up to one another so quickly :)

Title: Her New Year's Knight

Author: Selene Grace Silver

Genre: Romance

Website:

Length: 110 pages

Description:

The holidays are a time for family. So what if Darla doesn’t have one. She’s a trained psychologist and well-versed in all the dangers of inflating the importance of one week of the year. Besides, she has her clients who need her. Unfortunately, one of them seems to have a dangerous obsession for her. She doesn't need Santa to bring her a family. What she really needs to find under the tree is a strong protector.

This novella runs 110 pages. It contains explicit descriptions of sex. Recommended for mature (17+) readers only.

Direct from Selene:
I am launching a series at the end of January--a paranormal set in LA with witches. I'm tentatively calling it the LA Witches and Warlocks Series. The first story is a sort of prologue (novella length, est. to be about 120 pages, though it may end up longer at 200 pages), set in 1977. My tentative pitch is for the first book is:

Samhain, Hollywood, 1977

Bowie is damaged goods. Home from a tour of duty in Vietnam, suffering PTSD, the young man discovers his family destroyed because he wasn't there to protect them. He blames his parent's murder-suicide on their involvement in magic, and consequently rejects his own latent powers as a warlock. Unfortunately, no matter what he does, his choices will create a dangerous enemy. It's too late to rescue his family, but it's not too late to rescue a beautiful young woman caught up in a dangerous web of magic. Will he involve himself in a spell that spans a lifetime, a spell that ties him evermore to a powerful witch and all her offspring?

Cursed to bear 12 sets of twins in 12 years by 12 different men? That is twenty-year-old innocent Adara’s terrible fate until a reluctant warlock steps in, altering one significant part of the spell, and thus creating a new destiny for both of them. Like a heroic knight from her childhood fairy tales, he rescues her at the moment the spell is manifested. While she's grateful for his help, being bound to an overbearing, controlling, potentially violent man who will never love her, who hates what she is, well, forgive Adara if she believes she would be better off had he just minded his own business and left the rescuing to someone else?

Dancing in a burlesque club may be glamorous, but between the all night dancing, uncomfortable costumes and the horny husbands pawing at Lana Wilson, it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
When she is taken, Lana can only hope that the club’s gorgeous head of security, Wyatt Breslin can get to her in time. Wyatt will do anything to save her, risking his own heart and her life, in the process.

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

    Krystal's Review.....
This was a face-paced fun read. I enjoyed Robin McKnight's storytelling and found her writing beautiful and very descriptive. It pulled me into the short story immediately and kept me turning the pages. Lana is a dancer at a club and is totally hung up on the security guy. She refuses to tell him how she feels because of personal hangups. Wyatt has his own hangups and neither character comes clean with the other until Lana nearly loses everything.
My only disappointment was the dialogue between the characters. In many places I felt it was too smooth and romanticized, which pulled me out of the story because it didn't sound realistic. But overall, it was a good read.

STRIPTEASE is awarded 3 Satin Pillows

For sizzling hot love scenes it is awarded 5 pillow mints!
