This small town waitress won't let herself get attached to anyone . . . until Ryan, the new veterinarian for exotic animals, starts making regular trips to her diner. As hard as she tries not to feel anything, Ryan ignites a spark in her broken heart.
Ryan Tucker craves a happy family of his own more than his momma’s apple pie. Getting over his fiancĂ©e leaving him six months ago, he moves to Pleasant Valley for a fresh start. When he meets Maisie and notices the sadness in her eyes, he is determined to put a smile on her pretty face.
When another dangerous storm hits, Ryan stays by Maisie's side. She fills the missing piece in his heart, but will Ryan share his secret? Can Maisie move on from the past and learn to begin again?
Anne’s Review:
Maisie is a sweet, lovable, young woman who has lived through an unimaginable tragedy.  She is just going through the day by day motions trying to survive but not really living.  Ryan is a handsome, charming veterinarian who has had his own share of heartache.  Ryan makes Maisie come alive again and begins to heal the heart she thought was broken forever.  Will they get their happily ever after? Or will the past keep them apart forever?
This was a really good, sweet read about second chances.  The characters were relatable and well-developed.  If you are looking for a really good, heartwarming contemporary read I recommend this book you will not be disappointed.  Nice job Ms. Newton.

Kimberley's Review....
Wonderful, Clever, sassy, sharp, brilliant and resourceful. Those are just some of the words that come to mind when I was reading Acadian Waltz. Set in today’s New Orleans we start off with Nora T ( as most of her friends call her) and her Sunday brunch with her over bearing mother Claire and her sweet , keep your mouth shut stepfather Lou.  After hearing what her mother expects from her and telling her she isn't holding her side up of the deal. You know the deal most mothers’ want …. Their daughter married, rich, and given her grandbabies  Nora is thrown into the world of speed dating southern style. But a freak allergic reaction, from shellfish sends Nora’s date to the hospital, and Nora into the arms of Dr. John Blessing. Suddenly she is now on the fast track to the altar via her mother.
But in comes the childhood crush , Jean Marc (sighs) and he is there to show Nora T what she is really looking for isn’t in the big city of New Orleans but in the back woods , swamps of Louisiana.
I found this book funny, sweet, and gripping. I enjoy Ms. Weis strength she gave Nora, and giving it to Nora when the time she needed it the most. The mix of who, what, when and how and OH no he didn’t had me staying up all night to finish reading it. I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Weis and I am hoping to make it back to the swamps of Louisiana in her future books.

Kimberley's Review....
BUCK ,BUCK,BUCK . All the dreams I use to have when I was a small girl . Of what it would be like to live in the past. And what kind of man I wanted. And Ms. Raddon , she found just the man I have always wanted; and his name is Buck!
We first start off with Tempest , strong woman who will do anything to keep her and her children afloat and pay back all her dead husband has done. When she is cornered and given then awful choices of marry or leave she doesn't know what to do. And just when you think it is all over her come her dusty, dirty, brown horses LONG dead husband?
Buck, promises Tempest husband ,Skeet to make sure is and the family is ok , as he lied dying. Buck agrees but being throw in jail side tracked this promise. But once her get out he head to make that promise true. Little did he know he will just have to what he got himself into.

Wonderful story, loved the back and forth between Tempest and Buck. She don't take no crap from him or anyone. And that is what Buck needs. A strong woman , to show him it is ok to love again. Ms. Raddon is a wonderful , detailed writer and you will be missing out on this if you let this book pass you buy.

Nanee's Review of Firefly Mountain by Christine Depetrillo

Firefly Mountain

Firefly mountains by Christine DePetrillo
Book description

Firefighter Patrick Barre is determined to hide away in the woods of Vermont. He's content to do his job, remodel his house, and enjoy the company of his arson-detection dog, Midas. Scars from the fire that destroyed his family keep him from letting anyone into his life.
Gini Claremont uses her camera to celebrate the beauty of life. Nature soothes her, while anger is dangerous for Gini--and anyone near her. If she doesn't guard her emotions, her surroundings could go up in flames. Living alone, keeping busy, and letting her family keep watch on her is best for everyone.
When an arsonist declares war on their town, Patrick and Gini reluctantly band together to sift through the ashes, each holding a secret close to the heart. As the arson escalates, so does their mutual attraction. Will teaming up put out the fires, or start a whole new

Nanee 's Review

I really loved this book, it was on my TBR list for a while and when I finally read it I was pleasantly surprised. I always love to read about sexy fireman and poochies. The writer created a unique love story that you can't help but fall for. One word to describe Patrick would be Hero, if you look up the definition you would see Patrick's picture. He saved his sisters in a horrible fire that claimed his parents, although he is terribly scarred from the fire both mentally and physically he won't consider being anything else but a fireman. One of his sisters talks him into moving and starting a new life and that's when he meets Gini. Gini has unique abilities ( I won't ruin it) but she is a one of a kind women in many ways. She loves to help, rescue and volunteer her time at the local animal shelter, she is a amazing photographer. She is loved by everyone in the community. She always has a smile and is carefree ( or so it seems). What Gini is missing is... love. When Gini meets Patrick sparks fly and tempers flare, but they cant stop thinking of each other. They need each other in more ways then one. This story takes you on a interesting journey....the reader goes through each emotion; sadness, loss, love and happily ever after. The cast of characters in this story just makes it that much better...love Midas he's my favorite.
